An interactive and challenging workshop where the Cegeka team built an impressive domino project together.
On May 8, 2025, we organized the Domino Experience for Cegeka at Watt 17 in Heusden-Zolder. From 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, 100 participants engaged in a workshop that combined creativity, focus, communication, and teamwork.
Participants were divided into teams, each designing and building their own domino project. Each team member had a specific role: leader, designer, builder, safety coordinator, or integrator. Teams not only had to complete their own project but also ensure it connected safely with other teams’ projects and the overall final design. Each project included at least one special effect and needed to follow the day’s theme while considering time, space, and the number of dominoes.
The activity encouraged strategic thinking and precision: the more complex the design, the more testing and fine-tuning were needed. Teams had to divide tasks efficiently to achieve a flawless outcome. Once all projects were ready, the domino finale was set in motion. One participant tipped the first piece, triggering a stunning chain reaction where every project connected seamlessly into the final collaborative design, met with cheers and applause. Each team then had the opportunity to explain their design.
The workshop concluded with music and a collaborative cleanup, leaving participants with a sense of accomplishment. The Domino Experience combined experiential learning with fun and excitement, demonstrating how teamwork, communication, and careful planning are essential for success.
