Equality in team building
Equality in team building does not start with the number of participants, but with how you allocate your budget.
Today, many managers are given a single budget for training, coaching and team building, and divide it equally among their employees.
But... small teams encounter an invisible problem: the start-up costs for an event always remain roughly the same, whether you have 4, 40 or 100 people.
Location. Supervision. Materials.
These costs are structural and put smaller teams at a disadvantage.
Our plea:
Do you really want equal opportunities within your organisation? Then provide:
(1) a fixed start-up cost per event and per team and
(2) an equal budget per participant on top of that start-up cost. 💰
That is what equality looks like in practice.
Not giving everyone the same, but offering everyone the same opportunities.
