Mirto - Workshops, challenges & djembe

The day began with a delicious breakfast followed by an inspiring introduction by Inge Schroijen, general manager of Mirto. She referenced the philosophical statement 'Panta Rhei' to emphasize that there is also a lot moving for Mirto. Just like a river on which they must navigate together. She then unveiled the new project 'The Mirto Symphony', their organization-wide project against boundary-crossing behavior.

Next, it was time for a series of workshops and activities in a rotating system. Four sessions of 1 hour each accompanied by a tasty lunch. Mirto took care of the workshops on dealing with change and boundary-crossing behavior, while we took care of the activities. On one hand, we organized our playful team challenges focusing on communication and collaboration. On the other hand, we also made room for pure fun with activities such as folk games, curling on synthetic ice, and the booming sport of darts.

We ended with a real djembe concert! The ideal metaphor to be as a group in symphony and harmony. As the icing on the cake, our Sandra Mermans sang her own version of the song Pure Love. And that is also what we wish everyone at Mirto, pure love on their symphonic journey on the river throughout 2024 and beyond! The many happy and smiling faces gave us an incredibly cool feeling to start the year with. At your service!
