We had the privilege of organizing a business coaching & teambuilding event for the Atlas Copco IT Services Team EMEA for the third consecutive year. The event took place at the Rentmeesterij hotel near the picturesque location of Alden Biesen, where the team participated in a combination of business coaching, exciting activities, team-building communication, and collaboration. The goal of the event was to enhance team dynamics, improve communication skills, and foster a positive work environment. Throughout the event, the team embraced Zig Ziglar's quote: "The only thing worse than training employees and losing them is not training them and keeping them."
Program:
Day 1: Business Vision and Team-building Code Cracking
To kick off the event, the Atlas Copco IT Services Team EMEA delved into the business vision, emphasizing the importance of aligning individual goals with overall organizational objectives. Through the team-building activity "Code Cracking," participants had the opportunity to collaborate, solve problems, and build trust within the team. This laid the foundation for a strong and cohesive team throughout the remaining four days.
Day 2: Caricature Workshop and Connecting Communication
On the second day, the focus shifted to promoting effective communication and building connections among team members. The team participated in a caricature workshop, a fun and creative activity that encouraged self-expression and lighthearted interactions. In addition, through various exercises, participants explored different communication techniques, ensuring that team members engaged in communication within a collaborative work environment and worked on non-violent communication. The learning of "getting outside the comfort zone" was reflected in relation to the four-day event.
Day 3: Farewell Celebration for a Retiring Employee
Day three revolved around team-building, collaborative work, and communication. In the evening, the team enjoyed a surprise party for one of the team members retiring. Several surprise guests, including the retiree's spouse and local colleagues, were invited. As a tribute to the retiree, all participants sang a customized version of the Marseillaise. As the cherry on top, a fun caricature was presented.
Day 4: Site Visit
On the fourth day, a site visit to one of the company's nearby facilities was scheduled. The team's goal was to explore what they could do to better serve the location, focusing on the internal customer-supplier relationship and gaining a better understanding of this relationship. The seminar concluded with a final briefing and a cozy lunch with the team, thanks to Patrick Poncelet.
